  1. Hi !

I created some SVCDs and also I do have some mpeg2
    (SVCD-compliant) clips. Unfortunatly my new
DVD-standalone Player does not support SVCDs.
Now I decided to buy a DVD+RW drive to make DVDs.

How can i convert the clips on the SVCDs and the mpeg2
files which are still on my computer to DVD-compliant
    clips???

    THANKS IN ADVANCE

  5. If I were U I would put them on a dvd in SVCD format. DVD format will not make a svcd look better. just convert to 48hz audio and leave the bitrates.if u wanted u could change rez to 720 480.

  7. I would leave the res at 480x480. to convert the audio use tmpeg and load the sound of your movie only. than convert that, and use the mpeg tools in tmpeg to remux your new sound file with your video. If you wanted to you could try just leaving it alone. sound may play. Also you could use dvd2avi and rip your svcd disk. just look in the mpegavi dir on your cd. With the second method you can encode to whatever your new requeirments are. Just remember that you can't make your svcd into a better quality than original. If you try u will only waste dvd disk space

  8. Hey, I will try this DVD2AVI thing to rip my own SVCD

I know that whatever bitrates I use to reencode my
SVCD clips won't look any better than they look on SVCD.
Are you sure that my Standalone-Player will be able to
read SVCD clips (with 48khz audio) on a DVD?!?

MY KINGDOM AND MY MOST BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER ARE ON THE WAY
TO YOU STONECOLD420, , THANKS VERY MUCH!!!!!

  9. I can tell you that my philips dvd 711 will play audio at 48000 from any disk. IE:vcd svcd dvd or xsvcd xvcd. You could ask around about your player. I wanted to see how your progress was going.
