I'm using TMPGenc DVD Author to convert DVD to mpg. I encountered several problems:
1.) I tried converting one DVD but I'm getting this GOP too long error.
2.) Another DVD, I was able to convert to mpg however when I played it using Windows Media player, the video is distorted. You can see green or blue lines. Other scenes are pixelized.
Could you please help me solve this problem.
Thanks

Have you tried demuxing with something like DVD Decrypter or rejig ? The video is already mpeg within the DVD vob files. If you demux it you the mpeg back without having to reencode it. It is much faster, and doesn't risk degrading the image in the way you are seeing it now.
