Probably a codec conflict, which can be tricky to diagnose. Try reregistering the DirectX quartz.dll file and see if that makes any difference.
Start>Run> then type "regsvr32 quartz.dll" (without the quotes). You should get a dialog box that tells you if it succeeded. Reboot and see if any change in WMP."Just another sheep boy, duck call, swan

k well I figured out what it was, the drivers weren't installed or not installed properly so I install it again and it works BUT as soon as I restart they would be gone again.
