  1. Ok I don't know what it is, my sound in WMP is just gone I have v10.Its not on mute and I have my speakers on and in wmp its up to full, winamp and other programs work except for wmp. Ideas ?

    Probably a codec conflict, which can be tricky to diagnose. Try reregistering the DirectX quartz.dll file and see if that makes any difference.

    Start>Run> then type "regsvr32 quartz.dll" (without the quotes). You should get a dialog box that tells you if it succeeded. Reboot and see if any change in WMP.

  3. Yeah tried that and it succeeded but no change.

    Only other thing I can suggest is trying Filmerit to see if there are any codec install problems. Other than that you might have to trial and error uninstalling codecs.

  5. k well I figured out what it was, the drivers weren't installed or not installed properly so I install it again and it works BUT as soon as I restart they would be gone again.
