I have a NEC 3520, was ok I updated firmware to Liggy to get better. Well it worked fine now the rip speed has fallen to 3x, if you rip a single layer it goes up to 12x. Somehow DL is effected, everything from DMA etc checks out otherwise it wouldn't rip at 12x for SL. My question is was there something in FW to slow after a while or the laser is going bad , any thing got loaded from one of the dvd's ?.. Any input on this ? I have to do a clean install and test it out.
