Ok, this is my first post in the audio section (i think) so please be gentle with me.

I have an avi with bad audio, to fix it i thought i would try goldwave. To begin with i used virtualdubmod to save the audio as a wav file, then i loaded the wav into goldwave, when i play it back in goldwave it sounds perfect, this is without altering any settings at all. Great i thought, i can just save it from goldwave and then multiplex it with the video using vdubmod again but i get an error 'No codec is available to encode or decode the audio format'

Any ideas, you wonderfull, lovely cyber geeks.

Thanks, Baldrick. I ended up saving the audio as mp3, sounds a lot better by just loading it into and saving it from goldwave, i didn't even change any settings. Spooky.
