Can anyone recommend a video file compressing programme.

If you mean a program similar to .zip or .rar, then it's a waste of time. Video is already compressed and you will gain very little.
If, on the other hand, you mean make a video file smaller, you just re-encode it to a lower bitrate/lower quality or convert it to a more compact format. Look to 'Convert' to the left. <<<<< -
Yep I agree with redwudz. Of course you could split the file and email them seperately if your sending them over the internet.
Windows movie maker does a good job of compressing files into wmv. Or virtualdub can make divx and xvid files.Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw? -
What you've been told above is correct except in the rare case that you are talking about uncompressed avi. In that case, zip, rar, or 7s would significantly reduce the size.
Any other video format, the compression is negligible. -
