I am converting some TV shows captured with my TV tuner card. The captured files are MPEG2, 30fps. I edit out the commercials with MPEG Video Wizard (great product) and save edited file as MPEG2 again (very fast), then use AutoGK to convert to XVID AVI. Everything works great except for the resulting framerate. No matter what I do, I still get a resulting framerate of 24fps. I even tried forcing AGK to encode the "credits" at 30fps starting at frame 0, but that didn't work. It keeps detecting the source as either "FILM" or "HYBRID - mostly film", and thus converts the file to 24fps. I can't play the AVIs on my Philips DVP642 at 24fps (distorted video). Any help would be great. I tried MPEGModifier, but there is no option to change framerate. I'm sure I could use VDub to change it, but I would rather not go through all that extra work. Another VideoHelp member told me my DVD player should play 24fps and 30fps files, but I don't know how to make it play 24fps. Any help would be great.
