  1. I am trying to convert a avi. video using TMPGEnc and the complete file comes up as only 20 mins in length and about 2 hours of black screen at the end. What do settings do i have to put to correct this problem.

Any other ways i can put it to DVD?

How did you do it? Did you use the wizard or the manual setting?

Here's a guide that should help (found in the CONVERT section on the left of the screen)

you probably have variable bitrate audio, which makes tmpgenc not see the end

    yep, fairly common problem here.

The well-documented fix is to extract the MP3 audio to a WAV using virtualdub (or one of its variants) - these guides may assist you with this:

Then you feed your AVI into TMPGEnc as your video source, and the WAV file as your audio source.

Another less documentated method that I've never tried but is alleged to work is to use the source range filter on the advanced tab, and manually select the final frame in your AVI to "hard-code" where you want it to stop. As I said, I've never tried it, but in theory it could work.
    If in doubt, Google it.
