    Hey ppl i got an mkv file here and im trying to add subs to it (didnt really know where to put this sorry if its in the wrong place) but i cant figure out how to find the fps of my mkv file can anyone out there tell me how to find it THANKS!!!!!

    I'm not an expert on mkv by any means (actually I've never played one).

    But assuming its a variant of avi try avicodec or gspot. Also you might be able to get the file information by opening it up with virtualdub and clicking file-file information.

    mkv is not based on avi at all. Numerous ways to get the framerate, mkvinfo, mkvshell extension,Media Info, etc. Should point out though that mkv files can be VFR (Variable Frame Rate).
