    I am using OS X and the newest release of the ffmpegX gui for mencoder and the likes.

    every time I try to encode something from a .mov to anything I get the above error at 99% done.

    frame decoding failed: Gain control not yet implemented

    Any ideas?

    Hi soulman950,

    Welcome to the forums.

    A few pointers that will help you get more / some help:

    1) Change the title of the thread - it's not very descriptive. Do this by clicking on the "edit" button in the top-right of your post, from here you can change the title.

    2) You don't actually mention what program you're using. Whilst you're editing the title, you can also edit the post at the same time.
