  1. I am trying to extract MPEG2 video files from a TV series DVD ripped to my HD (4 episodes per disc) for further individual MPEG4 encode of the episodes.

The problem is, either with TMPG DVD Author or vStrip, after selecting the english 5.1 track, I get the spanish stereo track on the resulting MPEG or VOB file.

    Thanks for your time.

  2. Extract all the audio's and go through them one by one to find the track you want. Maybe they are mis-labelled?
    Quality is my policy.

  3. No success yet. All I get is video with the spanish stereo track, but I want the english 5.1 audio track.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Try using DGMPGDec and DEMUX all audio also select the VIDEO DEMUX option.

You will get a D2V file ... a M2V file (video only) and "X" number of audio files (which can be PCM or MP2 or AC3).

  5. I tried DGMPGDec, nice program. The question is, can I create splitted mpegs based on the 4 episode indexes (titles) listed in the VOB/IFO set, like TMPG DVD Author and vStrip do?

I don't think so. Unless it is split up into VOB's already ... which sometimes episode DVD's are like that (each episode has it's on VOB or set of VOB's) but some episode DVD's have all the episodes in one set of VOB's in which case you have to use another method. I rip with DVD Decrypter in IFO mode for this.

Then again I am no expert when it comes to DGMPGDec so maybe it can do what you are asking but I don't think it can.
