This forum has been so helpful to me in the past so I decided to reach out once again.
I take scenes from movies and put together a quiz every month that we show at the local cinema. Up until now I haven't been able to use SVCDs since I get the "unsuported" message in Tmpgenc. I have followed the instructions in the known problem section so I know that it's a codec problem. I used AVIcodec to see what codecs I used.
The list was long but I cant find any codec called MPEG-2. Here is my question:
When I look up MPEG-2 codec on the Tmpgenc page the comments says that its poor and I should use the codecs that comes with programs like Power DVD. I have Power DVD installed and I can watch SVCDs flawless on my computer in a variety of viewers like DIVX plater, media player, winamp etc. Is there something else I need to do to activate the SVCD codec for Tmpgenc to use?
