ok, I am totally a newbie to the mac video scene. on my PC, after I encode my audio and video seperately, I would multiplex it into a program stream using MPEG Tools in TMPGEnc. On the Mac, after I transcode everything in Compressor 2...i'm totally lost. Right now, I have a mpeg2 video stream and an ac3 audio stream...what should I use to multiplex these 2 into a program stream? I do not intend to burn it on to a DVD video yet...I am just keeping it for archive purposes.

MPEG Streamclip. Name (or rename) your streams so they match (movie.m2v, movie.ac3) and save in the same folder. Open movie.m2v with Streamclip and movie.ac3 is automatically selected and multiplexed. Save As MPEG (or headed MPEG) and you're done.

    Yes thats true.

I chose to recommend Streamclip in this case because choirislife923 has Compressor, which implies ownership of one of the Pro packages (FCP or DVDSP) which includes the MPEG2 playback component ... making Streamclip an ultra-easy solution for this task.
