    ...or After Effects 6.5.

    I'm just getting into adding a few special effects in my video projects. And this one is proving to be a bit more difficult than I thought.

    I've been searching for tutorials, but no luck so far.

    Does anyone have any advice?

    Simple way is to draw some overlay frames with a paint program. Photoshop makes this easy using layers for positional registration and opacity to build the flash + create smoke.

    Go to www.artbeats.com and type "gun" into the search box.

    Scroll down the results page a little and you'll see a load of stock footage shot on blue / green backgrounds for compositing.

    They're not cheap, but then how long is it going to take you to do something as good and will you get close to it looking the same? Probably worth the expense...

    Hey guys, I appreciate the help so far...I was looking at artbeats, and if I had a higher budget, then I would get my hands on that stock footage.

    I will admit that I know jack about photoshop and other art programs, what about basic tutorials?
