With dropping prices of DVD+R dual layer media, I've burned (successfully) a few discs on my PC and they play just fine on several of my stand-alone players. The problem is they won't playback on my Philips DVDR77, which is what is attached to my big screen TV.
I'm using Verbatim DVD+R DL discs. Anyone had any luck with these or any other type of DVD+R DL discs (playback only, of course).
I've been happy with the recorder overall (have transfered many camcorder tapes, dropped recordings from my Moxi DVR, etc.) and even have been impressed with its playback capabilities. But this DL issue is really annoying since I'd like to be able to play them back on my big screen and don't want to add another player to the mix.
