I had already posted this in the "bugs and suggestions" forum, but I guess no one reads that one, so I'm posting here.
1. I'm using an English OSX
2. I have Polish set as my first language in International settings.
3. I get the error every time I try to recode ANYTHING.
4. If I change the first language to English, everything works fine.
Now, this is really easy to verify - just add Polish to your languages in International and then drag it to the top of the list (don't worry, the system won't change to Polish, and ffmpegX will also run in English - only apps which have the Polish language built-in will actually run in Polish). You then have to log out and log back in for the change to have effect.
Please, fix it.

Just to clarify (the error got clipped in subject):
The error in its entirety is:
AppleScript Error
Can't get text item 2 of "<path/filename>". (-1728)
Also, in my previous post in bugs & suggestions I mentioned ATI Displays, which exhibited similar behaviour. ATI already fixed this in version 4.5.6
Thank you for considering taking care of this

Open the application package, open the folders Contents and Resources and find the folder named English.lproj, duplicate it and rename it to Polish.lproj and relaunch ffmpegX.
