  1. Hi!
    I´m new to this forum. I would like to know if anyone knows what kind of program to use if I what to cut a specific file.
    The file I have is .dvr-ms
    I have tried some programs with no luck.
    I´ve recorded shows through Windows Media Center and now I whant to edit them, with no luck. I hope that anyone can help me.

    I do not run Windows Media Centre so the following is only an assumption. There will be some guys on this forum that WILL be able to help you, i'm sure.

    It seems to suggest that .dvr-ms are already existing Mpeg2 files; i.e they were recorded to your HD in that format; hence why they may quite large i size. In theory, you should be able to drop them straight into a DVD Authoring program (e.g TDA) and output as DVD Compliant files and then burn; Highly likely you will have to shrink before burning (DVDShrink). TDA will allow you to edit/cut your file as you requested. I would suggest you give it a try anyway because this will help you learn some valuable steps in dvd authoring and the use of compressing files via shrink prior to burning.

    try videoredo or tsunami mpeg dvd author pro, authoring toool but with built in editing and dvr-ms support.

    and please use a better subject next time...I added cut dvr-ms.
