Hello folks (and Major)
I've got a 9.7G MPEG-TS of the Australian Football League grand final and I'm trying to get it onto a DL DVD.
I've demuxed the original track and got an ac3 and m2v file. I've re-encoded the m2v file with ffmpegx to get the size down. The resulting mpeg file views ok in QT and comes up as a MPEG-2 file in ffmpegx but when I try to mux the new video file and the original ac3 file (in the tool section) ffmpegx gives me an error saying the video file is unrecognised (or something to that effect).
Do i need to match files names? Does the mpeg video file need a"m2v" file extention?
Many thanks in advance
Robbo

Demux the TS stream in MPEG Streamclip to DV or MOV. I usually take a TS to DV then work with it in FFmpegX or Compressor, or VLC.
Why would you want to keep a copy of such an uneventful final
George
