I have recently recorded 2 video movie (mpeg) files from TV.
I wanted to burn them to DVD using NERO v6.6.0.16 but the properties given were as follows :
First is 1.85 GB & NERO gives 1h30m & 3.43 GB required - OK, fine.
Second is 2.16GB & NERO gives 14h30m & 12.18 GB required - obviously not so !
Two questions Why ? & How to get round this ? I burnt a copy of the second but this just gives the same requirement.

All other "Infos" - Gspot/VideoInspector/MediaInfo - give the size as around the 2 GB & also in NERO Burning ROM - just seems to be this file in NeroVision Express

I think the second file has wrong timecodes in either GOP or SCR or PTS (or all). NeroVision seems to want to reencode the file. Given the (wrong) timecode the size would be 12 GB...
Demultiplexing and remultiplexing the second file should help.
But... I would use authoring software that doesn't insist on reencoding...
If the original file has 1.8 GB the quality of the reencoded file with 3-4 GB can't be better.
=> If you would use other software you could put both videos on one DVD without any quality loss!GUI for dvdauthor:

You should be able to restream or PVAStrumento to repair without having to Demux anything.
