Does it only make DVDs, or can it also make VCDs & SVCDs?

Does it offer the option of a simple interface for newbies or is it a professional tool for experts only?

  2. Yes, it will make all mentioned. Read the info on the upper left labeled "what is" to get the right specs i.e. resolution, bitrate setting, audio's ect. It Just encodes, it wont author for you though.
    Quality is my policy.

I guess that's the kind of answer that bothers me. I was hoping there would be a novice mode that just has a buttons like: "Encode VCD", "Encode DVD", "Encode SVCD". I understand, however, that it only encodes and does not author or burn the VCD.

I never use the Procoder wizard. I'm not stupid, I know what I'm doing, don't need my hand held. Plus the wizard has a way of hiding the advanced options.

    Just something to consider.

    LordSmurf,

I've heard you say good things about ProCoder, how does Cinema Craft compare (I'm not refering to the $2000 edition)?

  8. CinemaCraft and ProCoder are both pretty good chunks of software, personally though, id go with procoder just on basis of ease of use, i think procoder actually produces slightly better picture quality, too.....
