  1. Ave,

I don't know exactly which Forum this should go under, i'm assuming this is the right place.

I've been using Nero for a while now, for burning Audio CDs, Data CDs and DVD Movies. I'm not looking for any re-encoding features or additional software... but simply burning. Just wanted to look at opinions from people about the best software choice for CD/DVD burning, mainly from ease of use, compatibility, reliability etcetera standpoints.

    Thanks,
    Mickey

Prassi Ones for me. Like many other softwares it has a few quirks that pop up from time to time but never frequently.

I use Nero burning ROM primarily.
I don't see many negative posts about Nero for BURNING. It's all the other stuff Nero tries to do that's crap.

  6. Prassi ONES - simple straight forward GUI, does it all, cheap price, small install footprint. No cover designers, EQs, browsers, or knife sharpeners included, however. :P

I use Nero exclusively now. I'd say that gadgetguy is dead on the money with his post.

  8. Ave,

I think the consensus is falling around Nero, i guess i should stick with it. It's always good to have a market input though.

    Thanks,

Not from me - Nero is as good as any, when it comes to burning. It's all the rest it of what it claims to do (and poor suckers believe it does) I can't stand. That makes me reluctant to use it even for what it does well.
I've used CD Burner XP Pro lately, and am quite impressed. Very Nero-like, but doesn't pretend to do what it does not. Free to boot.
And for Video DVD, I use Imgtools Classic + DVDDecrypter.
