  1. Anyone have any suggestions on what you're supposed to do when your authoring program throws the audio out of synch? So far I've used TDA and Ulead dvd workshop without any success. I even demuxed the audio. My original mpegs which I used mpeg vcr to edit are completely in synch.

I have had this problem too. I use DVD Workshop 2 and find that If I close all open applications, disable all system tray apps, and use Task Manager to end all non-essential processes I can get a good burn.

Are you claiming that the edited files are in sync? How do you know that? How are you viewing them?
I've had mpeg files that looked in sync in the authoring preview window, but were clearly out of sync after authoring and burning? My problem was not the authoring program but the mpeg file itself.

  4. What's your source file? Is it in 23.97fps(film)?
Because as I exprience before, when you convert a 23.97 to 29.97 with TMPG, and author in DVD WS, the audio will out of sysn. You should try convert to 25(PAL), it woks for me.
BTW, I've tried author with TDA, the audio is fine which is out of sysn in DVD WS, so I think maybe the DVD WS can not handle the fake 29.97 movie(means the origenal is not 29.97).

  5. I'm not converting anything. These are mpegs that I extracted from dvdram discs.

Davideck, I played it in media player as well as virtuadub and everything is in synch.
