    i have my cable modem hooked up to my old computer which is runned by winxp pro my new computer i got today runs winme i installed my cable modem driver and stuff on it but my download/uploads are worser then 56k on my old pc i get prdinary cable speeds can someone tell me whats going on?

    Its your network card, or if its not that, check your stability on your connection router, call you ISP, tell them your problem and they will test your speeds, also make sure you configure all your neteork card and your stable at all times
