My daughter has a very nice slideshow DVD from her wedding. I have ripped the DVD and added some of her wedding songs to play during the viewing of the five different menu selections.

Now the problem. The main DVD menu consists of one of the wedding pictures with a nice, transparent flowing lace curtain over the picture. There are five different menu selections on the other side with a colored dot that pops up over each different menu when you go near it. The main menu seems to be a 15 second loop. It looks very nice and I am trying to see if I could increase the loop and add audio to it while the main menu is on the screen.

I am not sure if I have approached this correctly, so am asking the experts here if this is the right way to procede.

I tried the following but am not sure this is the way to do this. I brought the main menu 15 second loop into Vdub and copied/pasted it until it was as long as the song I was trying to add, 3 minutes. I then added the song and now have new .mpv/.mpa files. Looks and sounds OK.

Not sure where to go with this now. I think I have to reauthor but don't know how to simulate the original colored dots on the main menu. I am not sure if I can do this in TDA or maybe should I have used something like ifoedit/vobedit/pgcedit instead of reauthoring to do this? Also, now the main menu clip is 3 minutes. Can I loop something this long on the DVD?

I seem to have totally confused myself here. Thanks for any help on this.

A semi-newbie with a little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

I think it is possible with the newest version of TDA (as this version supports a user defined highlight color), but you will need photoshop to create the 'custom' button.
It would be rather simple with GfD, as you could just use a dot from the special characters (small 'L' in the Wingdings font)...

    Thanks Borax,

I wasn't sure if I was totally screwed up or not. I'll look into using the other programs.
