I just bought a new (bigger) hard drive and since I hadn't re-freshed my Windows XP in a long (long) time, I thought I'd kill two birds with one stone. After install, and then putting back all my pieces of software -- authoring, converting, etc. -- I find that when I try to convert AVIs with DivxToDVD, it's taking NEARLY TWICE AS LONG (in some cases) to convert similar files as before the re-install. Has anyone had any similar problems, or know how (and where) to tweak your system to speed this up and get back to similar times.

I know that this may not be the exact forum to ask this, but since it's to do with conversions here, I thought it might be the best place to ask....
