I am planning to build a DVD duplicator for my duplication needs. I videotaped a performance for a chorus last night for their annual fall show and there are going to be orders for alot of DVD's almost similar to the Xmas show I did last year (60 copies were needed).

My question is, I am planning to go with the Pioneer drives since I know them to be pretty reliable in making burns.....is the 109 still available? I read the 110 is out, but some have mentioned that the 109 was really good. I will need to buy three of the same model since they have to work together with the duplicator controller to make a 3 target duplicator. Alot cheaper to build it myself than buying the commercial ones on a few websites i've seen which I think are pretty overpriced. Usually by the time you have the money to get these things all of a sudden they are no longer available lol.

I see the 109 listed on several sites, including Newegg. Try a company, but give them a phone call to assure yourself that they really do have the number you want in stock. Pay by credit card in case they 'misinformed' you.

That drive seems a good choice. I see several of the manufactured DVD duplicators use the same drive.
