Hi folks,
A friend is planning to get into video editing on his G3 400 (!).
Does anyone have a guesstimate on how long it would take to encode an hour of DV to MPEG-2?
Thanks,
B

Ouch. Maybe 2-3fps? So one hour of video would be 10, 15 hours? At least.

Closer to real time. Depends on the encoder you're using.
