I don't care if the thread is locked. I like hearing your reasons because they enlighten me. I want to hear more of them, that's all.

Its that I at least recognise that a thread like this does nothing but stir up bad feelings and put off anyone new who may be thinking about posting in OT. I understand that this entire discussion solved nothing and hurts everything.

I completely disagree with this whole point of view. I don't disagree with you personally per se, but the view itself. But you're right, bad feelings linger, which is what I've been trying to say all along. Those feelings need to be dealt with before moving on, they can't just be buried or else old prejudices will kill any chances of moving on.

I never wanted that spotlight. It freaks me out. There's too many of you and only one of me. Why do you think I didn't switch back to my old username? Please don't confuse the person with the personna.

And I don't want this place to be a popularity contest anymore either. That perception hurt too many people in the past. No, I will post in whatever draws my interest (which admittedly isn't much) and will try to stay out of as much controversy as possible. But I will tell the truth. And when I see the truth being beaten on, I will defend it. That's just in my nature.
