so i have some xvid files (systm episodes) i want to convert and burn to DVD. i was wondering whats a faily easy way that produces good results. i plan to burn to dvd so if i need to create chapters now, how do i do so?

i was looking into the TMPGenc stuff (be it, Xpress, Plus, DVD Author etc.) and since I've used older (free) versions of it, is it worth trying out? will i get good results? can i add my chapter markers? is there a better solution? thanks.

TMPGEnc encoder is easy to use, yes. And gets good results. For DVD chapters you need an authoring program. I use TMPGEnc DVD Author.

For quick Divx to DVD, you might try VSO DivxToDVD. The old free version is still available if you want to try it out. Not as good as quality as TMPGEnc, but very easy to use. The pay version does automatic chapters, not sure about the free version.

With TMPGEnc you need both the encoder and the authoring program. I use TMPGenc Plus, about $37US and TMPGEnc DVD Author, about $68US. There is also TMPGEnc Express encoder, but it requires periodic validation, which I don't like. Both programs have free trial versions, so you can try them out.

There a lots of guides for both programs, to the left. <<<<<
