I need a new DVD-authoring program. That can edit and put together a movie. Studio 9 sucks!

Studio always seemed to be plagued by crashing problems, matter of fact the first thing I ever did with my new "video computer" was to fire up Studio which had came with it. It promptly crashed.
Do you have the latest updates? or try as suggested above or Ulead Video Studio is similar competing product. AFAIK it's pretty stable. -
I've been using Pinnacle Studio 8, 9 and 9 Plus for about 2 years now. With each 0.1 level update (9.4 for example) I hope that they've FINALLY ironed out the slop from prior versions. When the program works, it does a nice job. The learning curve for simple tasks is fairly easy, and if you've had some experience with video software elsewhere, this should be no problem.
The ISSUE is that Studio works for a month or two at a time, then slides into a cycle of crashing, which from my own experience, can only be corrected through a complete uninstall + registry cleaning, followed by a reinstall (installing on top of existing installs almost never fixes it for me).
All that said, I've yet to find another program that (when it is working) does what I want as simply as Studio.
Here's hoping version 10 (due out Oct 2005) is better.
