Thinking of picking up a Panny ES20 when they're released here and was wondering if anyone knows if they can use dvd-ram type 4 disks (dual layer, 9.4gb)? Doesn't really matter if they do since my dvd burner only reads type 2. Thought I'd ask anyways since I'm interested.
As a side note, what dvd burners do read dvd-ram type 4? I have a Pioneer A109 and only reads type 2. Checked out other burners and it seems none support dvd-ram type 4.

According to these sites:
http://www.mycableshop.com/techarticles/TypesofDVDRAM.htm
http://www.answers.com/topic/dvd-ram
http://www.ecma-international.org/publications/standards/Ecma-331.htm
Type 4 is actually double sided, not dual layer. -

* Single-sided, one layer discs with a capacity of 4.7 GB
* Double-sided one layer discs with a capacity of 9.4 GB
So I can use the 9.4 gb dvd-ram media
. Thanks for the help!
