  1. Ok. I have a few problems. I use DVD X Copy Xpress which no longer has updates. So, I also use dvd decrypter and dvd shrink. However, as you know, they are both gone! I am really looking for an all in one like Dvd X Copy which is my favorite. It automatically rips, compresses, and burns with literally 2 clicks.

I still have dvd decrypter and shrink on my computer but I'm having problems with it. I can use the decrypter and when I go to shrink it, it goes through the whole process in which takes about 20 minutes and then it says I need to put in another disc that has more space. That is the whole point of the compression???

Either way, it will only be a matter of time before there is just too many problems for these programs to really be useful. So, I would love all the feedback anyone can give regarding preferably an "all in one"

    Please help!

  2. DVDShrink is as easy as it gets.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
Try copying the main movie only (Re-author Mode).
If you really want the menus, peruse some of the many guides available. (OVER THERE <-------)
You can turn extras into still pictures, which will reduce disc size (in most cases) to DVD-5 (provided Compression is set to Automatic)
IMO DVDShrink + DVDDecrypter is the closest to an "All in one" solution that you'll find.

I think what you need is a little system tune up.
Running Windows XP on 256 Meg of ram with a video app is really pushing the limits. I suggest at least 512 meg and the more the better.
Also run a spyware remover. Make sure that you have all the XP security updates and run a good AV program.
Defrag the harddrive and check for free space. A good rule of thumb is to allow at least 15-25% of the disk free.
I am using the same programs you are using and have no problems.
A Program that use to work well and now doesnt indicates a system that has pick up some bad stuff. Remember SW doesnt wear out but systems can pick up garbage.

Another solution is DVD43 (free applet to bypass encryption) and Nero Vision Express.
