I have a dv clip I transferred to my computer using WinDV and edited in Premiere. I'm frameserving from Premiere to TMPGEnc Plus 2.5 using the DebugMode Frameserver. I'm then bringing the mp2 and m2v files into ReelDVD to author my disc.
Since my clip is a music performance, I'd like to use PCM audio on the disc. I have the audio settings for exporting the movie as 48 khz uncompressed with a one second interleave. I then start the frameserver and open TMPGEnc to begin the encoding. In the project wizard, when I get to page 3, I click on the Other Settings button to change the audio settings. The box is set to MPEG-1 Audio Layer II and is disabled, so I cannot change the setting.
I tried exporting the audio from Premiere as a wav file, again using the settings of 48 Khz, 16 bit stereo, uncompressed with a one second interleave. When I do this and import everything into ReelDVD, it shows the length of my video as 15:10:01 and the wav file as 15:09:04. the mp2 file's duration is the same as the video.
How can I get a wav file out of Premiere so that it's durationis the same as my m2v video file?

Hi marksk918,
Use GSpot (beta v2.52) on the seperate WAV and MPG file to check the duration before you import them into ReelDVD - just to see what that reports.
I use Premiere Pro 1.5, Debugmode Frameserver and TMPGenc Plus v2.5 in the same setup as you. If ever I want WAV audio, I export video only from Premiere, and encode video only in TMPGEnc Plus.
I then export the WAV seperately and combine it during authoring with TMPGEnc DVD Author. I've never had any synch or running time difference issues. There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

GSpot, before version 2.52 (beta) will give n/a as, I believe, it's not capable of reading MPEG files until version 2.52 (beta).
Good luck...There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Of course, when you export, you have a choice of exporting Work Area, or Entire Sequence. So be careful...

I would gauge everything off of the "work area", and go from there..

Downloaded GSpot 2.52 and got the duration for the video file but not for the wav.
Exported the wav as I had been doing and changd the frameserver to export the video only. This time, I didn't use the project wizard in TMPGEnc, just the main screen and selected the 'Video Only' radio button. Everything matched this time.
I didn't check to see if I was getting synch issues but ReelDVD was giving me a message that the files were different durations (I forget the exact message), but I had no such problems this time.
Thanks all for your help!! -
No problem. Glad you got it sorted.
