I get errors from Nero when I burn the files to DVD because files are missing, but I burned anyhow to see what happens. The errors I get from Nero is "DVD-Video files compliance test failed. The resulting DVD-video might be unplayable. Do you want to continue?" Also from Neros event log, it's showing: "VIDEO_TS.IFO is not present, VIDEO_TS.BUP is not present, VTS_02_0.BUP is not present." . Standalone DVD player doesn't read dvd, yet Power DVD on the pc can read the video files fine. How can I get the BUP files that I require for this to function correctly in a DVD player? Thank you.

    Hi carstunts,

    Welcome to the forum.

Rip the files you need from the DVD the other files came from.

DVDDecrypter will do the job if the disc is encrypted, or just "drag and drop" in Windows Explorer if it's not.
There is some corner of a foreign field that is forever England: Telstra Stadium, Sydney, 22/11/2003.

Um, they were obtained by other means , not by another dvd. So I'm unable to get it from another source. I'm aware that DVD Decrypter can decrypt dvds if they are encrypted, but this is a different situation. Any way to recreate the BUP and IFO files I need?

You can discard the stream information txt, its not needed. What you need is VOB, IFO, and BUP as well as a VIDEO_TS file. BUP just means BackUP. So make an additional copy of IFO and rename to BUP.

I would rename all the VTS_02 to VTS_01, hence change all the number 2 into 1.

Use DVDFab 0.17 (old freeware version, the link will provide it) to create the necessary VIDEO_TS files.

    Yar, me matey !

Warez did you get these from ?

    Anyway ...

I'd renumber your VOBs from VTS_02_1.VOB - VTS_02_5.VOB to VTS_01_1.VOB - VTS_01_5.VOB and then follow the instructions here:

    If in doubt, Google it.
