    i'm having trouble converting a 2.35:1 movie and keeping it the same size. the picture always looks squashed or stretced vertically. I have heard you have to 'fit to frame' but i cant work out how to do that.please help. Cheers.

    What a file is it? DVD, AVI? Which encoder do you use?

    You didn't say what software you are using, or how you processed/ripped the DVD but I'm going to assume TMPGenc, with a D2V and WAV source from DVD2AVI.

    Run TMPGenc, load your desired template, then load your source files. Then click on settings. Click on the advance tab. For output choose:

    Choose 16:9 525line NTSC
    Video arrange method - "Full Screen - keep aspect ration"

    This should do it.
