Only with QT 7.0.2. I am back to 7.0.1 and have no issues to report.

    nope, staying at 6.52.
With no valid AC3 support, Compressor 1.21
and QT 7.0/.01/.02 not playing well, issues
with .02 breaking Safari QT Plug-ins....

I'd love to use QT7 and Toast 7, but NOT at the expesne
    of everything else getting hosed.....

AC3 sound plays fine on 7.0.1 (as long as you have Adrian Bourke's plug-in).

7.0.2 has a lot of issues and that is why Apple released a 7.0.1 Reinstaller.

terryj, I presume you have an external hard drive. Install your OS on it plus QT 7 and Toast 7. Whenever you want to use Toast 7 just boot from the external drive. Best of both worlds.

    I use 7.0.2. No issues for me, but I don't use AC3.

The 3ivx MPEG4 codec still doesn't work properly with QT7. This takes out encoding software like Diva and, to a lesser extent, MPEG Streamclip. But ffmpegX is at least a good an MPEG4 encoder as 3ivx, so it's no biggie.

Mhar4--Didn't know that! That codec ( 3ivx) is my favorite, so Ithat is another to add to my list of why I won't move up!

Frobozz--Tried this, what I found is that for some odd reason
( and this was on a clean new drive just bought) that
installing Tiger 10.42, QT 7.01, and Toast 7, caused Toast
to Crash upon trying to make .avi files to DVD!
It could though be related to a codec issue,
as I Copied all my codecs into the new build : 3ivx
(which I didn't know about its issues) apple intermediate, qt mpeg-2....

I will give another try this weekend,
but the fact that Apple's response to (older) Pro apps
not working under 10.4.2 and QT 7.01 is to
"upgrade your Pro Apps" is ridiculous! Compressor 2
is crap, and I'm not in HD yet, or H.264, so DVDSP4
and FCP5 are just novelty items to me, not necessities....

Well, I've become a 3ivx skeptic having used ffmpegX a lot now. Plus, the implementation of H.264 in ffmpegX is great.
