  1. Ok.. so it took me about an hour to write this post, because I wanted to add pics to explain my problem.

I'm trying to convert all the movies (AVI) that I have on my digital camera into MPG (DVD).

When I run TMPGEnc, I get this...

All looks fine and dandy, until I try to play the file... I get about 2~3 seconds of sound, and then nothing. The video still looks fine, just no more sound.

I tried using Virtual Dub to rip out the WAV portion, and this did work... but I have over 100 mini movies I'd like to convert, and ripping out the WAV is too much hassle. (is there any BATCH way to do this?)

When in Virtual Dub, I got all the info on the movie file:

Next step, I opened up TMPGEnc:

I've tried turning off error protection in the audio, but that gave the same results.

Any help would be apreciated (is there an eaiser way to convert 100 AVI's into dvd mpg's?)

    Jim

    Take a look at DivxToDVD.
    If in doubt, Google it.

You are a GENIOUS!!!! It worked perfectly for me... and the batch processing takes care of the 100 mini files I have laying around.
