OK, loving my Phillips 642, but if I have a divx file, AND a sub file in the .srt format, do I just burn them together on a disc and select the subs via the remote, or do I need to re-encode them into the file then burn?
Also, has anyone else noted that full speed burns don't always play properly? If I burn a DVD full of divx files at 4x, no problem, at 8x, skips, freezes, etc.
A whole new learning curve, but to get an entire season's worth of 1/2 hour episodes on ONE DVD? Yow.

I don't have a stand alone divx player myself, but my guess is that they work the same way many software players do, if the ".srt" have the same name as the movie it will automatically use that subtitle with the movie.Originally Posted by Dunnyman
You simply name the ".srt" with the same name as the movie, like this:
movie.avi
movie.srt
Good luck!
