Hi All. Perhaps someone here could help me with this. I’m looking for a recorder that has one single solitary feature. That is that it can record from both PAL and NTSC sources via a scart cable. That’s it. That’s as fancy as I want. I’ll NEVER be creating a final dvd from this machine. Its only going to be used to get video files onto my computer where the real editing/burning will take place.
Mainly what I’ll be doing is recording PAL from the tv but I do have a large number of NTSC vhs tapes that I want to backup to dvd. Now, this may be a stupid question but some of the tapes are commercial tapes (ie. movies). Will that affect the recording process in any way?
Thanks.

In the USA, a Centrios does this from all inputs.
For a European SCART, beats me.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)
