  1. Just burned my first DVD ever and stuck it in my Pioneer. It loads, says "DVD" but when the movie starts I get good sound but the pic is scrolling erratically and is black and white. Reminds me of a VCR with the tracking not set properly.

This DVD was converted from a DivX avi via avi2dvd then burned with CloneDVD2 2.8.3.3 via an NEC 3540 onto a Memorex DVD+R 8X.

Coincidentally, I used the same DVD+R to record a VCR onto DVD with a Sony DVD/VCR recorder I bought then returned and one copy did this scrolling thing and the next one didn't.

I figure the player just doesn't like these Memorex DVD+R's but I'm not sure.

Wondering if I should try a different converter/burner or if I'm just screwed out of this stack of DVD+R's? Thoughts?

  2. Also, if anyone has suggestions on the best media that can be bought locally at stores like Wal-Mart, Target, CC or BB I'd appreciate it... if you think that's the problem.
