PIONEER DVR-220-S question

O.k being used to the simplicity of the panny es-10, My new pioneer Dvr-22-S is a little confusing right now with more options, so I set the the record mode for 2hrs sp mode. left my house for 3hrs come home and its still recording???When I set the panny record mode for 2hr mode it stops recording on the 2hr mark automatically.Am I setting something wrong in the setup???And why finalize a dvd in vr mode???

If you have optimize on then the Pioneer will automatically adjust the recording rate to fit the remaining space on the disc. To record for 2 hours unattended either use the Timer, Easy Timer or press the record button 4 extra times (which adds 30 minutes to the recording time with each additional press.
