I was reading system requirements for Photoshop CS2 and it only lists Pentium CPUs. Is there some reason this won't run on AMD CPUs or are they just being morons? I'm got a Venice 3000 in one machine I was thinking of putting PS on.

Um thats not possible is it? I mean AMD isn't a pure intel clone anymore like the old 386 and 486 were. BUT if they have windows xp I think it has to run it.

They are probably just saying Pentium speed/power or equivalent and not saying it too well.
It will probably even run on a 400 Celeron if you don't mind slow with some operations.
EDIT: It may be 'Optimized' for Intel processors, but a fast AMD should work fine. -
I figured that's what they meant but when they fail to be specific I have to worry about it. I guess I could put the trial on to be certain.

There you go good idea
Besides as long as it says XP you shouldn't have any problem.

Just installed it and it seems to work fine. Hell, it's faster than my P4 rig so far.
