  1. I need something FREE hopefully. I want to be able to record my voice and then go back and edit certain parts (Something to change my voice). Or if I must, just record each part seperately.

    I've got to record a couple childrens books for when I'm not at the school I work at. Then they can still hear my voice, along with some nifty little sound effects.

    Not sure what effects or editing you are looking for, but try Audacity. Lots of filters and effects you can try and it's freeware. For just sound effects, just do a Google search for 'sound effects'. There's a lot of them out there.

    Hey Beave, If you have a Audigy soundcard dig around in the those programs. There's presets for changing microphone input, some are quite funny.

    There's even one that makes you sound like the chipmunks.
