I have a number of avi/divx files that I burn onto a CD-R using Nero 6.6 Ultra. I like watching the files on my DVP 642. But while I can watch these files perfectly on my computer using WMP, after burning onto CD-R to play on the DVP 642, the audio is not in sync? What can I do to fix this? Should Nero be the only application working while the file is burning to CD?

Did you burn the divx file or did you re-encode to DVDVideo?
If you burned the DivX directly, they should work fine (as long as your player is divX compatible). Since timing information is the same. If there is a problem, then it might be you have too high of a bit rate for your player to cope (check its specs and compare with your file)
If you converted to DVDVideo, I cant help there. It is not my specialty!! But I know there are some tools to corect skew problems. Try looking on this forum.
Hope this helps
