I have recently completed a compilation using encore to create my menu's/submenu's etc. The project is at last sucessfull however one small hitch has got me stumped.

With the DVD laoded on my standalone it starts up at the menu ok, I can navigate to a submenu no problem and skip to a set chapter but, if I want to return to the menu, using the remote, nothing happens, the dvd just keeps on playing.

Am I missing something within my menu creation somewhere??

It's all about setting your end actions and overides.
I also don't quite understand what you mean. Are you trying to back up to a previous menu from a chapter of a clicp you are viewing? Depending on your remote, all I can do with mine is to press the menu button to go back to main menu. It won't let me go to a sepcific sug menu. I also make sure I place " next " and "previous menu" buttons on all my Main and sub menus as that will pretty much insure you will be able to navigate. From the middle of a clip???? I can never ga back to that particular chapter's sub menu unless you remote has the function to take you back to a root menu as well as subs. Did you test it with in Encore using their virtua remote. It has a little button for "end play" action so you do not have to sit throught the whole clip to see it the asigned end action works. Once I test it and it passes 100% it performs 1005 when I burn it.

Ahh the joys of learning....at this rate I reckon I will have snuffed it before I become totally competant in this hobby.

I was probably incorrect in my description, what I mean is that when I want to return to the menu, by using the remote controll, nothing happens. I am just reading a small review on the web now.

Step 11 seems to be were I am goin wrong.

I think the issue is that i did not select the "menu remote" section in the properties panel or is it something similar I have missed
