  1. is there any tool by which i could determine, no of audio streams in a vob file. i mean that suppose u have live show dvd, generally it contains two audio streams like lpcm stereo and dolby 5.1, butif i wanna know of a file whose audio info is not given how could i determine no of audio streams in that file and its charecterstics.

    if anyone can suggest me a tool please do.

    Hi!

    The only way I know to do this is to drag and drop or open the IFO associated with the VOB in a program such as DVD Shrink. If you don't have the IFO use a tool such as DVDFab to create the IFO file. You should be able to create the IFO by going into the tools section of DVDFab.

    If anyone else knows of any other way to do so, please do post. It would be good information.

    You can open the VOB file in VirtualDubMod and it will list all the audio tracks. Choose a track and let it load. Select 'Preview Input' to listen and 'File Information' for more details.

    Also you can open the VOB in VLC media player and choose each track but they may not be in the proper order.
