    Hey all
I figured I would ask this here. Well I have a bunch of VCD's that I made, about 13 each about 30 Minutes long. Now I would like to render them to mpeg 2 so I can use DVD architect 1.0 to author the final files. Now my problem is that, what options do I choose for all these files, I was going to use one of the DVD NTSC templates which vegas offers, but they all end up giving me a big 1.15 GB files which will take up too much space. So I was thinking of tweaking the settings a bit like lowering bit rate etc... So the can be smaller to give room for all the other videos. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Ps: if this thread does not belong here, forgive me, and please move it ADMINS. Thank you.

You want to pack 13 x 30 min into one dvd/r???

You have got to be kidding!!!

Realistically you shoul try about 4-5.

yes you can do it but it's going to look even warse than the original VCDs

To achieve very good quality with regular DV 720x480nTSC to DVD should should keep it between 1-2 hours. Results may vary but you are attempting to sqeece 6.5 hours of video!!!!! It simply is not going to look good at all. You should do 4 - 4 - 5. Discs are less than 50 cents now so that is no longer an issue. QUality should be paramount.

Sorry about the way I came accross

Hey its cool, I just thought it would work alright, not to familiar with this. I was reading about lowering bit rates so you can squeeze more video. I was playing around with the DVD templates, but I dont know how to lower the bit rates, It says Variable bit rates and constant bit rates, but the numbers are in the millions, so How would I lower it to lets say 1041 kbits/s, Im a little lost as you can see, so please steer me towards the right way.

Picking a really low bitrate. Will positively will look like unwatchable crap . PLease don't do it. You will hate yourself later after wasting all that time. I am not kidding. Rather wasting your time attempting this, read some of the guides covering what you are trying to do. There is a ton of free and invauable info here just for the taking.
