Hello there, I've been trying to encode a 700MB avi file and convert it to VCD and fit it into one cd. But the thing is, everytime i encode using TMPGEnc, it goes over the limit, meaning once the movie is finished it keeps encoding. Let me show u and example:
This movie i was able to fit it into one cd and notice the arrow, the number is way smaller than the other movie.
Whilst the other which takes years to finish encoding and has a bigger number than the other one.
If u guys no what that is and why it keeps encoding even though the movie is finished. Here are the settings i used to encode on both of the movies:
Thank you very much!!

First of all, did you mean to post a screen grab? Because it is not here. You are obviously converting some Dvix you downloaded to vcd right? Say this is a 120 min movie, when converted to say MPG2 at a good medium bitrate, it will end up being at least 4 gigs long. You would have to make TWO vcds ( 700 mb each ) in order to make it fit. I did an early experiment with a 90 min Pixar DVD i own, just for laughs. I made a divx with Dr. DIvx using their auto setting to make it fit to one CD. Came out to 695 mb. I then loaded it into TMPGEnc using the VDC template and it needed 1200 mb. Perfectly normal. Now you could of course reduce the bit rate till it fits in one cd iand it should provide with a vcd that will look dismall. As if the Divx actually looked good to begin with. Unless what you are trying to convert is something that is positively not available in a comercial DVD release, it really is not worth the effort.
No DVD can withstand the power of DVDShrink along with AnyDVD!
