    I have been experimenting with ReJig's ability to author simple DVDs, which is exactly what I want. It suggests that you can create chapter points by specifying a txt file. However, I do not know how to create this file or what format the file should have. Does anyone have an example of such a file?

    AFAIRC it is the same format as in ifoedit. So it is just a plain text file with frame numbers (one framenumber per line).
    Mpeg2Schnitt is able to save a chapter list in this format and can be used as 'visual chapter editor'.
