I need to convert from avi's to yuv 4:2:0 elementary bitstreams. Is this possible? I'm new to this so I was hoping there was software that would do it for me. Maybe something with a gui that doesn't need compiled. The simpler the better. I'm really under a time crunch here so any advice would help.
Thank you,
Chris

Get the latest VDub, and save to uncompressed YV12. If you want to have raw YUV, you need a command line utility called avs2yuv: http://students.washington.edu/lorenm/src/avisynth/avs2yuv/
usage:
avs2yuv.exe version.avs
etc ... -
avs2yuv produces yuv 420 planar. But i think in general it doesn't need to be.
